About
Mission & History
Pennine Mencap is a registered charity working to provide opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in Oldham, Tameside and throughout Greater Manchester to create, achieve and express themselves.

We achieve this through a variety of services and activities that engage with learning disabled adults, and those with complex needs, helping them to develop skills that bring positive changes to their everyday lives, such as skills to help them in the workplace and how to make effective life choices.

Established in 2012, we have come a long way from our beginnings in a small, windowless storage room with plenty of potential and not a lot of resources. It was only through listening to the feedback of our service users that we were able to develop as a charity in the facilities and opportunities we provide.
